This is such a typical Stephanie situation. So, John and I were sitting and watching TV Saturday night and all the sudden it came to me...I want to redo the guest bathroom. I shared this with John and he kind of laughed and then once he saw that I was being serious he kind of climbed on board not realizing I wanted to start this tomorrow (Sunday). This is how I know I have the best husband because that's exactly what we did. We went over to Lowe's Sunday late morning, we got paint, new lighting, new mirror, new medicine cabinet, new toilet seat and couple other things. Once we got home it was time to put Addi down for a nap and we started to paint. We got all the painting done by 7:00 that night (2 coats)!! I then went over to Bed, Bath and Beyond on Monday to get new towels, shower curtain, and rugs. So, as soon as John got home from work Monday he hung our new mirror, put in the new medicine cabinet and put in the lighting. Today I got to finish cleaning the bathroom and it looks amazing!!! We are sooo happy with the color and the other items we choose to decorate. While we wish we could get rid of the blue counter top and flooring it just wasn't in the budget and I thought at least this was a good start. I'm really happy with how it turned out and look past the other flaws. I can't wait to move onto putting in new grass in the backyard and eventually redoing my bathroom. That might be a while from now b/c my bathroom needs ALOT of work.

I found some"before" pictures that we took before we moved in and one right after we moved in, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!

Hope you enjoy our new bathroom!!

Where Are These Weeks Going!?

I can't believe another week has gone by. I think its so funny because when I lost my job and knew I would be staying home with Addison I thought the weeks would just drag and I would go insane. Well, it has been the complete opposite. While we are still working on a routine for each day I've at least gotten to the gym 3 times during the week, found that Wednesday is laundry day and then Thursday is the day I go to the grocery store (except this week I went today). As far as my Starbucks habit I'm still trying to only get it 2 times during the week but of course Addison reminds me every time we go to the gym by saying "Coffee" because we pass it on the left hand side on the way to the gym. I'M BEING SERIOUS!!! The mornings have been kind of weird since the time change. She's actually been sleeping until almost 8am every morning which kind of screws me up and I think I might be getting wayy to much sleep (I know that sounds weird and most people probably envy me). I'm still trying to find a Stay At Home Mom group so that it will give me more options of what to do with her but overall I think things are going really well and my fear of making her stupid by staying home with me has pretty much disappeared. I can't believe how much she is talking and doing just in the last month. I actually feel honored that I get to see it occur all day rather than the couple of hours when I would normally get home from work. I'm taking advantage of this time with my baby girl for as long as possible because who knows when I may go back to that corporate world that loves me so much.

Fun With Tete!!

Addison and I finally had our very first trip alone. I can't believe its taken this long but with some special drugs from my doctor I was able to do it successfully and actually have a great time! We left Thursday night arriving around 9pm. Addison was great, luckily she's totally into chocolate right now so even though I initially didn't have it I was able to buy myself about 10 minutes before I actually bought some M&M's from the flight attendant. I'm being serious, I just say "you want some chocolate" and her face lights up and she sits like a good girl. Its quite funny and like I said when I realized "ohh crap I didn't pack any" I had to pretend I was looking for some until I was able to actually buy something. Honestly, great thinking on my part because this is what she did for the rest of the flight, her two favorite chocolate and watch Madagascar.

Friday Natalee had to work for a little bit which was great because Addison and I got to get up and do our own thing without feeling rushed. Once Natalee got home we went to lunch and then went over to David's Bridal to look for a flower girl dress. We are so excited because we think we found the perfect one. Its sooo cute and I think it will go with Natalee's dress prefect.
Friday night was a lot of fun. Once we got Addison down for the night Natalee and I shared several glasses of wine and got to catch up on things going on in our lives. We also realized that Facebook and drinking wine really don't mix but it was a lot of fun anyway. ;o)

Luckily we didn't drink too much and were only an hour late for our appointment where Natalee bought her wedding dress. OMG!!! Natalee looked amazing and her dress is absolutely perfect. While I didn't get to see it in the exact color and can't post the pictures that I took I will just say she is going to look beyond beautiful on October 10th! I also got to try on the dress that all the bridesmaids chose. I'm excited, its really cute but strapless. I've never liked strapless on me but it didn't look too bad and luckily I still have about 7 months to continue to tone the areas I don't like. We ended the day with a nice dinner and just hung out drinking a lot less wine than the night before.

Sunday morning we got up and went to good ol' Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Addison and Natalee duked it out with those games that they put out on your table. They were both upset because it turned out to be a tie. I did secretly tell Addison she really won but that was between the two of us. ;o)

Look at this determination!!! How could she not win!!!

Our flight left at 3:30 that afternoon and once again the process went smoothly due to some nice medication that helped my anxiety level to stay normal!
So, I don't know what it is but unfortunately it rained and was freezing the whole time we were visiting. Natalee's convinced that I'm just bad luck, if it wasn't for my happy pills I'd probably think the same thing. ;o) Anyway we had such a great time and I truly wasn't ready to leave yet. I'm hoping to go back out there in June by myself so we can really have some fun in the new town that Chad and Natalee live. Thanks Natalee for everything we love and miss you already!

Addison's 2nd Birthday Recap (better late than never)

Addison's 2nd birthday was such a blast!!! I'm the type of person that likes to have big parties and go crazy with ideas to make my parties worth talking about. Well, after getting laid off and then having a terrible experience coming home from vacation I decided to cancel her big party, stay in Florida rather than go to Michigan and celebrate her 2nd birthday with just the 3 of us.

We started off going to our weekly outing: "The Little Gym". It was a lot of fun because all the kids screamed "Happy Birthday Addison" and she looked at them like they were crazy. All morning we said "Happy Birthday" and she would scream "NO" at us. So, apparently she's learning early that when its your birthday your getting old. The Little Gym was a lot of fun and Miss Caitlin even blew up the air track for us (it was like a mini Pump It Up since that's where we were going to have her party).

After The Little Gym class was over Miss Caitlin had a gift for Addison. We LOVE Miss Caitlin!!! It was so nice of her to get Addi her very own "The Little Gym" ball, bubbles and water bottle.

After we left The Little Gym we headed over to the Lowery Park Zoo. It was honestly the best day to go to the zoo. The sun was out, there was a breeze and it wasn't too hot. While the zoo was a little crowded we enjoyed every second of being there. Of course Addison loved the Monkey's and would keep yelling at them to "come here". She didn't understand why they didn't want her to pet them.

Addison also got to ride on the Merry-Go-Round for the very first time as well. She enjoyed it so much we actually did it twice.

The best thing about this zoo is for sure the giraffes and the penguins. You can get sooo close, I think it really makes it all seem so real. These two areas are just amazing!!

After 2 1/2 hours at the zoo Addison was done and ready to go home and take a nap. We were in the car for maybe 10 minutes and she was out, which is a huge indication that she had a great time!

Once Addison had a nice nap we then went to dinner at our favorite place "Moon Under Water". Luckily it was still really nice so we got to eat outside. We had a great dinner and Addison left many smiles on people's faces!

It was then time to go back home and have the homemade cake that John made and open presents. My sister and mom had called us a couple of times while we were out so I decided to give them a call back when we were just about to sing "Happy Birthday". I put my mom and Natalee on speaker phone and we all sang to Addison! It was actually a really special moment, I was really touched that they could be part of this too even though it was over the phone.

Overall it was such a great day, so great John and I are still talking about how perfect it was. We love you Addison and I can't wait to share all the pictures we took of your special day with you when you get older!
