More Than 1/2 Way There!!! (Baby Jones Update)

My sister went to get another ultrasound done yesterday and the baby is looking great. The person who did the ultrasound was nice enough to switch it over to 3d/4d and got a great picture of her face!!

She looks absolutely beautiful!!! Seeing this makes me even more excited to meet her October 1st. October 1st is when my sister is scheduled for her C-section so unless she comes earlier this is when we will meet Riley Devon Jones (this is the name they think they are going with). I guess I won't be able to meet her until the following week because that's when I'll be in Michigan but that will give my sister time to heal before we invade her house. I couldn't be more excited, not only did my older sister get to see a picture of her baby girl but my little sister's wedding dress came in yesterday too!!! Geez I just can't keep up and I'm LOVING it!!

Condo is Rented!!!

Well, its quite shocking but after only posting it for a week we've rented our condo!!! We got several calls on it perhaps because we came down on price, but we are sooo excited to have renters in there for a year, everythings been signed and its totally official! Its a really nice young couple who have a 2 year old and one on the way. The husband works as the the music director at a church and is also a musician. They are kind of young but I think our cute condo is going to be perfect for them. I'm sure they'll enjoy it as much as we did! Now I just need to cross my fingers that they make rent each month and we have no problems. John and I might go over there when we're in town next month to introduce ourselves personally. I'm sure everything's going to be great, I still can't believe its almost been 3 years since we left and we FINALLY got it rented! John needs to pay me a commission on this one! ;o)

Memorial Weekend Fun!!!

As I said in my previous entry, my sister Natalee came here to visit us for the long weekend. We left on Saturday for a road trip over to Orlando (I felt like we were going camping by how much stuff we had), which is about an hour 1/2 drive so not too bad but long enough for Natalee and Addison to need a nap. ;o)

When we got there the weather wasn't all that great but Addison was still able to get in the pool and have a little fun before they kicked us out at 6. It was ok though because we had a huge tub in our room that we filled up for her and let her continue the fun.

That night we went to a nice but late dinner.

I thought for sure we would be spending most of the time in our room but when we woke up on Sunday it was bright and sunny. It actually turned out to be really nice and we all got some sun...especially Natalee. ;o) While it was a little overcast I was thanking God for that. When the clouds would break and the sun would come through I thought I was going to fry to death, needless to say we were completely fine with lots of clouds. Even Addison got some color which as most of you know she is as white as white can be. ;o) We really didn't do much but hang out by the pool (which I could do forever watching Addison playing in the water) and took a little break to eat lunch and let Addison take a nap.

We also went to dinner Sunday night but this time at TGIFridays. We were all kind of tired and of course that sun really took a lot of energy out of us and we couldn't wait to do it again the next day.

The next day we checked out at 10am but headed right to the pool. Luckily Natalee's flight didn't leave until 6:50 and with us only being an hour 1/2 away we wanted to try and play a little longer in the pool.

While we were only there for about 2 hours but it was still fun and it was nice to make it back home by 2pm with stopping for lunch too. Addison took a nap when we got home and Natalee and I worked on some wedding stuff before she took a short nap. Overall it was a great time and of course full of laughs. I'm so happy I didn't cancel this trip because we all had sooo much fun and made some great memories for Addison!

(Natalee and Chad)
Chad's not coming but Tete is (aka Natalee)!!!! I'm so excited to see my sister Natalee, unfortunately her flight doesn't get in until 10:30 but I'm still excited because she's here until Monday night. We of course had/have fabulous plans for this weekend and now the weather has decided to suck. We are still going to stick to the plan and make the best out of whatever happens. We are leaving to go to Orange Lake Resort in Orlando early Saturday afternoon. John and I went there with Addison last year with his mom and we loved it (I think it rained then too). We also plan to visit with an old friend from middle/high school, go to a flea market and of course drink lots of wine. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we at least get one day to hang out in the sun and get some color. Either way I haven't gone shopping for myself in forever so perhaps we can do a little shopping too! I haven't seen her for 2 months and I can't wait to give her a big smooch and hug. Plus, Addi won't stop talking about her Tete being at home. ;o(

Condo for Rent/Sale $800 a month (2 Bedroom 2 Bath)

Believe it or not we STILL have our condo in Michigan. Due to lack of trying to sell it and trusting people that said they will sell it for us its still sitting in Shelby Township all alone. Its a really nice place and honestly I kind of miss it. We were the first owners and took VERY good care of it. Its are 1200 sq. ft and like I said every things pretty much brand spanking new. We are asking to rent it for $800 a month non-furnished or $1200 a month furnished. We also have it listed on Craigslist If anyone knows of anybody looking to rent a really nice place in a really nice area please let me know because this is the place. ;o)

Am I Going to Wake Up From This Dream...I Hope Not

Life for the last 4 months haven't been better!! Many of my Facebook updates consist of going to the gym and I LOVE it. Its so crazy to be in the zone and basically all I think about "when is the next time I'm going to work out". It weird when you first start out you think of it as a chore but now that I've been going for quite some time I look at it as more of a hobby. While I don't really understand how I'm not down to my goal weight I know that by me just going its helping me stay healthy and feel better about myself. Its funny because when I was working I would constantly think "if I didn't have a job I could go workout all the time and it would be fabulous" well I get to live my small little dream and I'm finding myself going to the gym 4-5 times a week. Not only do I get to go to the gym but I get to do so many things that I wanted to do that couldn't be done because I worked. A major thing is taking Addison to swim lessons. Most places only had swim lessons during the day and now that I get to stay home we're able to make sure Addison can be safe in the water. I've also started taking her to story time which I think is great because I know I didn't read to her enough while I was working due to lack of time. She has so much fun and gets to interact with other kids too. There are so many countless things that I'm thankful for and feel blessed that I have this opportunity. Lord only knows how long this will last or what the future has in store for us but I'm REALLY trying to live for the moment and enjoy every second.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

It’s a very special day because it’s my Mom’s birthday!!! I don’t even know where to begin to describe what a great woman she is. I love her so much and have found myself loving her more and more as an adult. She is always there for me when I need to talk and is always honest especially when I really need her to be. I feel we are super close and continue to grow closer especially now being a mom myself. Addison just adores her and she is beyond amazing with her. I love when we come into town and my mom gets to take her over night just so she can spend some alone time with her. Its always so hard making sure we get to see everybody when we come into town but I always know I can count on my mom to figure out a way to be part of whatever we are doing. Since having Addison I can see the glow in my moms eye and I just appreciate everything she does so that Addison knows her Grandma Cheryl loves her so much. She is such a great Grandma and mother I wouldn’t trade her for the world.

There are sooo many things that I love and qualities that stand out when I think of my mom. I love how she doesn't care what people think of her and shes always making people happy. She's taught me that being in a negative situation doesn't help and its better to walk away and find other people that will help you laugh. She loves everybody and makes friends almost everyday...even if its asking a 5 year old boy if he has to go potty in the middle of Kohl's. I LOVE spending time with her and there's never a dull moment. I always know how much she loves me and how proud she is of what I’ve accomplished so far in my life. I feel so lucky to have the most beautiful, kind and loving mother.

Mom, I hope you have a beautiful day but more importantly an amazing year. I love you so much and you mean the world to me/us!!

Love Always,
Your Beautiful Rose

Favorite Part of Baseball Games!!

( Me and Caitlin)
I have to be honest, I don't even like baseball, however I love going to them with friends! Yesterday we had a great time enjoying a little Rays baseball at the Trop. We went with the teacher of Addison's "The Little Gym" class and her boyfriend Azlee. I was quite proud of Azlee because he just had surgery on his leg on Friday. He was a champ, I think every other person asked him if he wanted a wheel chair but he insisted to use his crutches. The game was quite interesting to say the least. While when I think of baseball games I think of drinking lots of beer and pigging out. Well it was a little different, nobody wanted to drink and I had 1 hot dog and some peanuts. This may of happen due to my good friend Caitlin all the sudden throwing up at the concession stand. Luckily I wasn't standing there because I probably would of been next. John and Caitlin went together to go get nachos and all of the sudden she was feeling really dizzy. When she went to sit down she started vomiting everywhere. Poor thing was so embarrassed and kind of confused. She's a trooper because we continued to stay and watch the baseball game. While this Rays game will for sure be one I won't forget we had a great time just spending time together. I love Caitlin and I'm super excited I found a great friend. Azlee is awesome too and can't help but laugh at Addison everytime they are over. I'm looking forward to many more adventures that hopefully don't involve puking because that is just not my thing. ;o)

My Little Builders!

Poor John was suppose to get home from Chicago Friday night at midnight but when he got to the airport he was 2 hours delayed. Well, he didn't get home until almost 3am and was sooo exhausted. He still managed to get up at 7:30 to see his little girl. She was so shocked and happy when he poked his head into her room and I could hear her screaming daddy!!!! We did our normal Saturday routine which includes going to The Little Gym and then once we got home we relaxed for the rest of the day. After Addison got up from her nap she got her blocks out which her and John LOVE building big and tall things out of them. Perhaps I have an architect on my hands...we'll see. Anyway, it brought a tear to my eye to see how excited they both were playing with the blocks together. I love my life!!

What Is That Smell?!

OMG!!! This has never happened in my whole entire life (even though I'm only 30) but I found a dead cat behind one of our bushes which is located right by are garage. The last couple of days the garage has smelled really nasty. I told John he's going to have to clean it out this weekend to find out where that terrible smell was coming from. I was wondering if perhaps one of Addison's dirty diapers were put out in the garbage inside the garage rather than outside, so I took that garbage out and the smell still wouldn't go away. I even looked in Addison's wagon where she sometimes insists on sitting there for a couple of minutes before coming into the house. I thought perhaps she brought a piece of food out there without me knowing it, but it was clean. Well, I came home yesterday from story time and guess what I saw? Yup! A tiger looking cat behind my bush dead with flies all over it. I know this is so gross but honestly, how does that happen to us? Well, I called John so he knew what to look forward to when he got home. Its really strange that we figured out the smell yesterday because right after John disposed of it we had a huge rain storm so I'm hoping all the nastiness is gone. Anyway John's in Chicago for the next 2 days and I don't have to smell that awful scent any longer!!!

Addison Goes to the Movies!!

John and I finally had the guts to take Addison to her first movie!!! As always we were more excited than she was. She's probably thinking "what crazy idea does mom have this time?"! So, we made sure to get to the theatre with plenty of time to get snacks and have Addison adapted to her new environment. I wanted to take her to see the Disney Planet Earth movie but John thought she would be able to stay focused more if we went and saw a cartoon movie. Well, he won and we saw Monsters vs. Aliens.

Addison did awesome during the movie. I was actually really surprised and it was nice because we didn't have to pay for her ticket. John and I had no idea how that worked so luckily we saved $9 by not having to pay for her and she had a great time. When we walked into the theatre we were the only ones there which was great. There ended up being just 2 more families to show up so it was perfect. Addison was hilarious as always with her gasps of "OHH NO" on some of the parts and then it was cute how she crawled up on John's lap during the darker parts of the movie in fact I think she was on John's lap most of the time. I wish I was a rude person because I would of taken pictures during the movie but I'm not and I didn't think the other people in the theatre would appreciate the flashes. After the movie we went over to Johnny Rockets (YUCK) and got some gross dinner. The best part was how much Addi enjoyed the milkshake. She loves those milkshakes!!! So, overall it was a great experience and another item I can check off her list of "1st time to...".

Happy Mother's Day!!

I honestly think mother's day gets better and better every year. I had a great mother's day weekend!! Saturday we did our normal go to The Little Gym so Addison could burn off some energy. After Addison's nap we decided to watch Marley and Me which turned into a field trip to the pet store to look at puppies. While I think it would be sooo cute to have a little puppy running around the house and to keep Roxy company I am perfectly happy with 1 dog and 1 baby right now. Addison had a blast though playing with all the puppies and figuring out that they are in fact alive so she needs to be gentle. After that we came home and BBQ'd. Sunday we got up and had breakfast and then headed to the gym so John and I could burn off some calories. When we got home we changed into our bathing suits and went to a pool for a couple of hours. It was so much fun laying out and swimming with Addison, she did great!!! This for sure makes me even more excited for our trip to Orlando in less than 2 weeks.

After Addison's nap we all got ready and went to get some yummy dinner at Bonefish. While I don't like seafood I LOVE their Lily's chicken. Addison was so good and ate alot (which seems to be a struggle these days). Overall my weekend was amazing due to having such a great husband who helped Addison make it that way.

Arielle Goes to Prom!!!

I can't believe it but my baby niece headed off to prom this past Friday!!! I say baby because in my eyes she's still my lil niece that was born when I was in the 4th grade. I just can't believe how time is flying and now she only has 2 weeks left of High School!!! Arielle growing up so fast is really making me think about my time with Addison and how I need to appreciate every waking moment with her because before I know it she will be the one going to prom and graduating. Its been so fun watching Arielle grow up to be the woman that she's turning into. Every time I think of her I read the letter that she secretly left for me on the nightstand after she came out to visit me in Florida last year. I love her so much and I am just the proudest aunt. I wish I could of been there to shed a slight tear of happiness because I am just so amazed at what a beautiful human being she is and continues to be. While I won't be there the day that she graduates from High School I will be there a couple of weeks after to celebrate this huge accomplishment. I love you Arielle and I hope you had the best time and made beautiful memories of your special day.

Proud Mom and Step-Dad

(With her friends Cori and Candy who she talks about non-stop!)

Arielle with Cameron and Autumn...soo proud of all of them!
